• The basics of balance and the physics of animal handling
  
• Herding
  
• Catching
  
• Haltering
  
• Organizing your farm
  
• Using bodywork as a means of communication with your alpaca
  

DAY TWO:MANAGEMENT EMPHASIS:

• Picking up feet, trimming toenails
  
• Shearing
  
• How to give shots without restraint
  
• How to help you vet
  
• Organizing your facility
  
• Handling pregnant females
  
• Raising and training respectful and confident babies
  
• Using the catch pen and the minicatch pen
  
• Different restraint devices and how to use them safely and -ultimately- to work without restraint

• Registration includes continental breakfast and box lunch on both days. Printed materials and hands-on demonstrations with the alpacas.
  
• Tuition is $195.00 per day or $370.00 for both days per attendee.
  
• Additional $10.00 discount for 2 days attendees who register before April 1, 2008.
  
• No refunds for cancellations received after April 15, 2008, tuition may be applied to a future training sessions.
