On behalf of Glengary Farm Alpacas we would like
to extend to you an invitation to participate in our Semi-Annual Herdsire
Showcase and Alpaca Sale in Bath
(Akron), OH.
We have decided to sponsor this event on a semi-annually in the
spring and fall to bring together select breeders to collectively pool an
inventory of alpacas for sale and to display their herdsires for review by
prospective buyers.
Highlights of our event:

attendee’s on the day of the event and mailed after the event to the

This in NOT AN AUCTION. Glengary Farm Staff will represent each participating
farm individually in the sale of breedings and alpacas for sale offered. The

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE
Herd Sire Showcase and Alpaca Sale
The following are the terms and conditions of the Glengary
Farm, LLC., First Annual Herd Sire Showcase and Alpaca Sale.
1) WARRANTIES:
A) FEMALES: will sell with a live birth guarantee. If the
alpaca fails to have a live birth or if the cria delivered does not live 72
hours: the Seller will rebreed at no cost to a male that is fully owned by the
Seller.
B) MAIDEN FEMALES: are guaranteed to be anatomically normal
reproductive tracts and sells with a free breeding to a male that is fully
owned by the seller.
C) NEWBORN CRIAS: There is no expressed warranty for crias sold
with dams.
D) JUNIOR HERD SIRE: is a male that has been determined to have
anatomically sound reproductive organs and is guaranteed to settle a female by
age four (4).
E) BUYERS REMEDY FOR EXPRESSED WARRANTIES: Buyer must give
written notice to Seller within 12 months of the date of sale of a perceived
defect in the reproductive system of a female and in the case of males by their
fourth birthday. Seller has three months to verify and perceived defect. Upon
conformation the seller has the option to: a) replace the alpacas with one of
equal value b) give the buyer a credit towards the purchase of another alpaca
owed by the seller c) refund the purchase within 30 days of a request for
refund by the buyer. Both the Seller and the Buyer shall be responsible for all
incidentals expenses unless otherwise agreed upon by the parties.
2) TERMS:
A) Cash Sale: payment in full either by check or wire transfer
within three (3) working days following the purchase. Sellers reserve the right
to require payment to clear before releasing the purchased alpaca.
B) 90 days same as cash: 50% to be paid within three (3)
working days following the purchase. The balance is to be paid within ninety
(90) following the purchase. The Buyer will execute a promissory note in the
amount of the balance. Full mortality insurance must be maintained in an amount
equal to the balance of the purchase price naming the Seller as the Loss Payee.
The Seller will retain the alpaca’s registration until the note is paid
in full. If the Buyer fails to pay the final payment the seller reserves the
right to retain ownership of the alpaca being sold and retain up to 60% of all
payments made by Buyer as liquidated damages.
C) Financed sale: Seller may finance the alpaca purchase (1) with 50% down,
paid by check or wire transfer. The balance to be paid over twenty four (24)
months in equal installments at 6% simple interest (2) with 50% down, paid by
check or wire transfer. The balance is to be paid in twenty four (24) equal
installments at 0% interest. Buyer will be required to sign a promissory note
and purchase agreement and maintain full mortality insurance on the alpaca
purchased naming the Seller as Loss Payee. If the buyer fails to maintain
insurance as required the Seller will secure the insurance in the amount of the
promissory note and the premium will become the obligation of the Buyer. Seller
will retain the registration of the alpaca until all terms and conditions of
the purchase are fulfilled. Crias of any alpaca purchased may not be sold by
Buyer without the expressed permission of the Seller.
3) BLOOD TYPING: all breeding alpacas have been blood typed
with The Alpaca Registry (ARI).
4) TRANSPORTATION: Transportation in the continental United
States will be arranged, including travel examinations by the Seller at no cost
to the Buyer within 30 days from the date of purchase.
5) BOARDING: Seller will provide free board for the alpaca
purchased for thirty (30) days. Thereafter board will be charged at the rate of
$3.00 per day.
6) LIABILITY: Any person attending the Herd Sire Showcase and
Alpacas Sale, whether as a buyer, observer, agent, shall do so at their own
risk and with hold harmless the Seller, the event administrator and its assigns
and employees from any accident, injury, mishap, theft and any other harm
regardless of cause.
7) GOVERNING LAW: The sale any all transactions related to the
sale of an alpaca will be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
